Patchwork Quilt

Awhile back I  made my first quilt,  I needed something to tie in all the blues and greys in my new bedroom.  So heres how it went!
I cut and cut and cut squares of fabric. For the most part it was left over fabric I had laying around from when I made the curtains for my room. I also bought some cheap fabric and found some fabric that I had around the house.
Then I arranged the squares in a pattern I liked and then I started to sew the squares together in rows. (as seen in the above picture)

Then I sewed the rows together!

Sewing away...

bought this blue fabric for 3.98 for 2 meters, it was such a good deal. I use this to line the back from the quilt.

When I was done doing all the complicated stuff of the quilting process it ended up looking something like this.
It was my quick first quit, I didn't do any piping around the edges I kinda did my own easy way of making a quilt. I know a lot quilter's would probably not like my hack job of a quilt, but I think it turn out great it almost looks like it is vintage!

Subway Tile!

I love subway tile in the kitchen, in the bathroom, in the laundry room and even on a fireplace. The tile  is so classic that if you pick the right colour it will never go out of style.

Homemade Christmas Socking

This week I want to share all the projects that I have been doing this Christmas holiday. I know it is kinda late to show them to you but I thought you might still enjoy them.

To start here is a DIY Christmas Stocking I made for my boyfriend.

It is pretty easy to make, took almost no time and best of all it costs nothing.

Everything I used for this project I had laying around my house.

I started this project with a old golf shirt of my brothers.

Cut the golf Shirt to the size of stocking.

Turned the shirt inside out and machine stitched the inside, to make a stocking like this.

made a name tag for decoration, you can add whatever decoration you want to the stocking I just kept it simple because I didn't have much time.

Added a loop at the top so I could hang the stocking.

and here is the finished project!

it is a fun and a very easy project.... and also a very creative way to make a stocking.
